Baked tilapia with salad and potato wedges

For dinner we decided to go to marche, a Switzerland themed restaurant based on Swiss markets, it was one of my favourite places to eat. I especially love the mashed potato 🙂 it is quite chunky and they only use fresh and original ingredients which is healthy.

However it was closed early so we had dinner at a place called The Apartment which is designed like the insides of an apartment. It was decorated with love balloons and all romantic for valentines for tonight :). Sadly the prawn capellini was too oily and I felt dizzy after first bite (probably due to my pregnancy). So instead I ate baked fish for dinner which was delicious, topped with cheese and with its fresh salad side, I totally wiped it clean.;) definitely will be more tasty if they have put some dressing on the salad though.

For the chinese new year celebration, my inlaws decided to have a korean bbq party. It was such a fun event; we came early to swim and enjoyed the jacuzzi first then later in the evening only we started the grilling.

There were lots of marinated meat; chicken, beef, sausages.. Which we ate with kimchi and sushi rice rolled up in lettuce :).

Family dinner

Standard

My uncle came yesterday and so we went for a family dinner at a no-frills chinese steamboat restaurant where one can have a dinner at only RM 24.90(USD 6). It was surprisingly delicious plus healthy too 🙂 We had a great time there.

It was at sunway mentari, subang at the same row with Mcdonalds. Although the best part was my uncle’s going to Hawaii for holiday next week! So fun! 😉

Durian durian durian

Standard

Initially we decided to eat burger for dinner tonight at this new place called The Burger Lab.. Conveniently we forgotten to bring our phone or iPad so no Internet resulted us in searching for the place about an hour in vain.

So we changed our plan and decided to have durian for dinner yay!:D
I know some people just can’t simply tolerate durian due to its smell but I just LOVE durian! Not only that, usually durian season lasts from May to August but nowadays it is available all year long although scarcely.

During durian season, durians can be as cheap as RM3 (USD1) per fruit and they usually have a durian buffet like RM 9(USD 3) per person where we can eat as much as we want! I’ve tried this once but turned out this is a waste because it became much more expensive if the cheap ‘durian kampung’ is available. Usually durian kampung is much nicer and so cheap! RM 10(USD3) for 3 durians hehe. It is smaller in size meaning I can enjoy as much durian as I want. I find this more delicious than the pricier huge durian.

Anyway because now is not the durian season so they are more expensive. We had ours at RM18 (USD 6) per kg (yes, they weigh the durian and normally durian is about 1-1.5 kg). We had our durians with coconut drink 100% original right from the coconut itself :D.

Durian and coconut drink turned out to be such an amazing combination as the drink helped to reduce durian’s smell and it’s effects (making our body feels hot) usually caused by eating too much durian. Besides I love to eat the white stuff in the coconut too! It’s nice to scrap them off it’s wall :). Overall we ate 3 durians for dinner and were very full indeed.
